  • Manages a team of UX researchers within HP’s global design organization focused on delivering user-centered print solutions for home and office customers. Drives research across the product lifecycle to inform design and support business goals.

    • Spearheaded expansion of body-shaping technologies to the male market through nationwide research, resulting in a new Wrangler denim line that exceeded peer products in sales and customer ratings.

    • Developed custom VR and AR tools for design collaboration, user research, and in-store engagement, allowing Lee & Wrangler teams to review virtual garments and shoppers to access interactive content at point of sale.

  • Hired to lead innovative apparel research applying vision science to global design and manufacturing. Worked with designers and manufacturers worldwide to develop garments that enhanced visual appeal and met research-based specifications.

    • Collaborated with global design teams across five VF brands to apply and expand patented body-shaping techniques, resulting in new product lines that drove increased sales and earned average customer ratings above 4.5 stars.

    • Conducted international research using interviews, A/B testing, and surveys to validate patented body-shaping garment designs. Designed and analyzed experiments in MATLAB using vision and statistical toolkits.

  • Hired by a consultancy supporting VF Corporation to pioneer new research rooted in vision science for apparel design. Partnered with Lee’s design team to develop garments using a patented technique that visually reshaped the wearer.

    • Founded a cognitive science research lab for VF Corporation, hiring 3 PhD researchers to conduct large-scale behavioral studies that led to a new Lee Asia denim line. The line had record-breaking sales and helped to surpass Levi’s as the #1 denim brand in Asia.

    • Equipped research lab with advanced hardware and software, including eye tracking systems, color-calibrated monitors, and GSR devices, to enable rigorous, high-fidelity research and capture unconscious emotional responses.
